Setting Goals for Training

We're to go to having goals during training as you mentioned can you give some examples of that. One of the things whether it's an experience or novice athlete I do when I get them to work with me is to sort of set the mental side of your performance as a goal in itself. You know how can you going into it define where you're at and how could you what's going to be success on the mental side  at the end?
