Shrimps in Asia have grown to dominate the global industry over the last two decades and so those shrimp imports come into the US basically just taken taken over because of the price. The vast majority 98% of imported seafood does not receive any testing for contaminations before entering the US market. There's just if the US farmers have to go through all this testing I do think that the imported product should have to be held to the same standards.
