How Do We Reset Our Tolerance for Stimulation?
An underrated thing about the analog world too is not really having the option, the immediate option to do something else. If you're sitting down on a table with a bunch of flashcards and your phone is on the other side of the house, for example, you're going to be focused on that activity. It's going to take a bit of effort to get up and distract yourself versus the digital way very quickly. The more stimulated our mind becomes, the more stimulation we crave by default because we want to stay at that same level of stimulation. So I played around with a lot for resetting this stimulation tolerance.
