The Signs of an Over Functioning Leader
If somebody is not performing to your level of satisfaction and your solution is some form of you do more about it instead of them, that's generally the sign. If they always find themselves being the smartest person in the room, if they were in a series of meetings and they didn't learn anything from another person, they're a classic over functioner. It's not healthy for the team. They're definitely short changing their team because there are people who have learned not to share a smart idea with a person who needs to be the smartest in the room. And you're probably increasing your likelihood of burnout exponentially. Your system just can't take all that being so smart and being so perfect
