The Stoics believed if our philosophy is right, we can't be the only people that have ever thought of this. So they expected to find fragments of similar ideas everywhere in the culture and in foreign cultures as well. I don't know if it would help everyone, not because I think stoicism is kind of limited or wrong,. but I think the way it's communicated doesn't necessarily appeal to everybody.
