The Importance of Having a Value Analysis Committee
When I first started it was a simple of getting buy in, big in the next case scheduled and you'd get what's called a scrub P.O. We just scrub the product in. Now majority of the products must be pre approved or have a hospital contract before you can utilize them. Usually there's a specialist within the hospital system that covers a whether it's OBGYN or plastics or colorectal,. They'll then take the product to a value analysis committee for approval. Once it's approved, then we, the thing is you've got your hunting license. once you're in there, you can hunt, try to get those cases and find additional providers to utilize.
