CHAPTER

The Importance of Recognizing Your Response to Training

The idea that when you train hard, you expect a suppression in your HRV is not really what we expect or wish to see. It's always a matter of trying to apply a stimulus that is adequate to what we should be doing at a given time. And then the response should be always within normal range. The best athletes out there that train many hours and definitely train hard do not have suppressions every two days like recreational athletes who cannot manage their intensity right.
