The Near Enemy of Meta
Buddhist teachings are not simply something to admire from a distance, they're something to put into practice. There's a powerful force in the mind that comes masquerading as love, but which actually obstructs it and obscures it. It is called the near enemy of meta because it looks like loving kindness. We have fooled into thinking it's loving kindness, but it's not.
