Are We Trying to Make Sense of Ourself?
Gat: We often think that our identity is shaped internally. But much of what the psychology and research shows, is that we're actually trying to make sense of ourselves. And we often do that by seeing or observing how we enteract with different experiences in the outer world. So for example, if this individual on youtube is getting rewarded and senti s for eating lots of food and behaving in a croni crazy manner, our inner world moves to match that. Our identity moves to matchd reinforce that.
