There's good ample evidence in both train and untrained individuals that you can increase lean body mass, particularly muscle mass when losing body fat. And again, I would tend to feel more confident in predicting that somebody would gain lean body mass while losing body fat if they're relatively untrained. But we've seen this in elite Norwegian athletes. We've seen it in division one, a football players. It is probable that folks again, new to training, carrying a bunch of fat mass initially who are undergoing relatively slow weight loss, who are now engaged in intelligent resistance training and conditioning will be able to gain Lean Body Mass at the same time as Fat Loss.
