Socrates warns that if caliocles cannot agree fully with Socrates philosophy, he will simply be contradicting himself throughout his life. He goes on to explain basically that polis and gorgias both were ashamed to say what they really thought. And it's true that in Socrates dialogue with him moving forward, he's not shamed. However, he does contradict himself.
