The Women's World Cup in Mexico in 1971

English F.A. banned women's football in about 1920s, didn't they? 21, I think, yes. They banned women from playing on their pictures,. So, it sort of shut down the game. But this happened all over Europe. The unofficial women's World Cup in Italy in 1970 was quite popular. And then there was a follow-up in Mexico in 1971. It was really popular. The final in 1971 had a crowd of 110,000, which I think is the biggest women's crowd ever.
