The Strange Science of Recovery
There's a new book out called Good to Go by Christy Ashwanden. The subtitle is What the Athlete in All of Us Can Learn from the Strange Science of Recovery. It takes aim at distortions caused by industry-funded research and celebrity endorsements. But it doesn't stop people creating these recovery products and so forth. They actually put us into really sedentary behaviours for brief periods of time. And that could negatively impact our exercise performance.
