The Effects of Animal Protein on Cancer Risk
The average American is eating 9 or 100 grams of protein, what 70 or 80% of it's coming from animal products. If you swap out 3% of calories from animal protein with plant protein, 60 calories in a 2000 calorie diet, mortality drops 34%. And if it was processed meat, the drop was 46% for cancer. It was like 50% drop for processed meat. So, we've got, and you know what, it's noted that the data is very similar for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer. It's very, very similar.
