To what extent have you found that schools have been able to take the idea of this book on board and to actually reshape what they're doing? It's a great question. Loosely speaking, I distinguish between schools or districts that are quote in the box and those that are out of the box. And so let me start there. In many public school districts or schools themselves, the box is pretty tightly defined externally. They can't change a lot of things. So in that case, my question is, how might you, nonetheless, use the ideas of backward design of UBD of the curriculum and assessment system and the instructional models that we put forth to do a better job within
