The Role of CRP in the Evaluation of Feveral Infants
Using a single marker puts you at risk of either underestimating or overestimating the risk to that child. The gold standard really should be Procalstonan, which has been used for decades in Europe and Canada. In Europe, there's what's called the step-by-step rule that incorporates ProCalstonan. And it also uses CRP and the absolute neutrophil count to risk stratify infants.
