The Importance of Understanding the Causes of Happiness
The Buddha talked about different levels of happiness in the Maha-Mangala suta. Just having a healthy family is a form of happiness, he says. It just goes deeper and deeper and deeper into the esoteric of Nabana. For those people who might be thinking that by going or aiming for, you know, the higher happiness, somehow they're going to miss out on the kinds of happiness we're more familiar with - it's not a question of missing out on anything.
