CHAPTER

Genetics of Foreign Policy Preferences

Alex Castellanos: I think from I study this a little bit when I was in grad school, we had like a course on this and or like a week on this. And it was like not political ideology but political party. So whether you could sit yourself conservative or liberal was just genetics, not public environment. The party was actually a whole environment,. Which is interesting because the correlation between those two is actually much stronger as time goes on. There used to be a lot of conservatives who called themselves Democrats, for example, there's not a lot of that anymore. That's changing now where conservatives, types of people, Republicans, liberals tend to be Democrats.
