The Dangers of Mind Reading

When we read literature, it's a lot easier to see when a character's self talk is not serving them. And then what we want to do is leverage that recognition in another who is us and see it in ourselves. The psychologist beck in cognitive theory of depression, spoke of black and white thinking. We filter some things that might be nice to focus on and have the benefit of keeping us calm and content - but they can also lead to bad decisions. For amateur psychologists, people who like psychology and understand people, there is a huge danger in mind reading.
