The Importance of Deficits in Training
There's enough variation in there, like we might use the slingshot or boards on bench to give the pecs and the delts some breaks so that we can bench press three to four times a week with the deadlift. We might use deficit so we can use less bar weight and make it heavier. You know, and we might put heavier weights up on blocks to make it easier to recover from. So there's smart ways that we can put the training together so that we could accumulate this level of volume and work hard enough while still staying healthy and making that steady progress.
