The Role of Nets in Antimicrobial Mechanisms

When the neutrophils get activated, they shoot out this net and the nets are made of DNA. They are have many different proteins associated with those DNA strands that can capture microbes and can also inactivate or kill microbes depending on what kind of molecules are present. And then the last case is a major indicator of these nets but they're kind of hard to capture because they're very fragile so it's these little thin filaments of DNA.
