A Better Person Makes a Better Athlete?
Because you're a nice person doesn't mean to be a great athlete. Bobby knight was one of the best baskeball coaches ever. If he wasn't as much of a dick, would he be bet coach? I think so. Larry bird left indeana university because bobby knight was a dick to him. But just because somebody's at the pinnacle of the top doesn't mean they don't have room to grow if work on other things. Better people have discipline. Better people can commit. Better people are humble enough to take coaching. Those aspects of being a better human being lead to being a better athlete.
