The Effects of Curcumin on Gut Microbiota

Curcumin is restoring the gut balance of gut microbiota that favors more butyrate. The shift from anaerobic glycolysis to oxidative metabolism increases a GRP 109A, which helps get Niacin into the colonist site. Without with the GPR 109A receptor being less expressed, you're going on a downhill spiral then over the colon pathology into carcinogenesis.
