The Meaning Crisis: The Battle of Kursk

In 1943, these two titanic forces and the historical socio-political, socio-economic forces that they have marshaled meet at the Battle of Kursk in 1943 on the Eastern Front. There's nothing like it anywhere else in World War II. This is the biggest battle ever. Literally this battle involves millions of men, tens of thousands of pieces of equipment, thousands of thousands of tanks, thousands of airplanes. It goes from horizon to horizon.
