Friends, if you'd like to listen to this, the What Drives You podcast ad free, you can do so for $4.99 per month. Same show, just minus the ads. I hope the ads that I offer are beneficial to you, but I understand that some people would rather not hear them, and you can do that for $4.99. Go to kevinmillar.co Kevinmillar.plus. Thankfully, the days of building a business website then having this massive endeavor to integrate an online store are gone. Today, Shopify has fixed all that. I had one business where we actually built the entire website on Shopify's platform. So whether you're just starting out or you're selling a million bucks a product already, Shopify is just the industry leader. It works the same for physical products or online and digital and Shopify is just hands down the best out there. Most importantly, Shopify helps you turn browsers into buyers with the internet's best converting checkout. It's 36% better on average compared to other leading commerce platforms. Getting people to buy is not that hard, at least to the buying point, but getting them to actually give their payment info is, and Shopify is king in that department. They also have top tier customer service, which I think is critical. You can sign up for a $1 per month trial period at Shopify.com/Kevin. That's all lowercase. Go to Shopify.com/Kevin to grow your business no matter what stage you're in. Shopify.com/Kevin. I'd like them to, it would help this argument to say that those who do enjoy, who are in work that they enjoy care about, have a passion for, find purpose in, make more money. Oh

yeah. Oh yeah. And that's the irony of what you alluded to a little bit earlier. People assume, well, yeah, I really enjoy music or art or snowboarding or biking, but if I did that, you know, then my family would have to live on beans and rice. You know, we'd always be poor, but it doesn't work that way. When people move into something, that's why I would rather help somebody grow dandelions, if that's what they're passionate about, then to try to talk them into being a computer programmer, because we know they're good jobs there. Right. No, they're more likely to make money growing dandelions if that's their passion and I have here on the wall right in front of me Gavin this painting I know you've seen it but done by a young man who came to me as a pastor and he was doing something That he saw as very godly But he was miserable and knew that he was frustrated Came to me. He was eking out of living. They were paying him peanuts, as they do beginning pastors. He was working as a night clerk at a hotel during the week just to try to keep the lights on in his house. And I said, you know, why are you doing this? And he was really taken back. It was like, well, this is the most costly thing anybody could do. I says, no, it's not. You're an imposter. You're trying to be something you're not. What is it that when you're doing it, you really come alive? Wait, can I answer that? Can I answer that? I know the story. Painting. Yes. I love the story. He said he'd go into a room in his house, lock the door, put on Beethoven or Mozart, and he would paint. But how are you going to do that? I mean, what do we know about artists, starving artists? So we have that kind of slogan out there. You know, if you going to do what you're going to starve, no, if that's your passion, then do it with excellence. And today, of course, he makes, you know, 10 times the money ever dreamed of making as a pastor, well known as an artist, and his amazing art, real abstract pieces that are always music themed. That's the thrill of moving into something where it addresses, where it embraces your passion. Not, okay, I'm going to keep my passion for something I try to squeeze in a weekend because that's my hobby, but then I have to do something I dislike. And the irony is a lot of people are concerned that they're going to destroy the enjoyment of their hobby if they allow that to become a source of their income.
