Rugby coach says there is no evidence that women should adapt training to the phase of their menstrual cycle. A review by Aska Yokundrup and Lauren Calenzo Semple looked at claims made in an article on a website called MySportScience. The author said it was 'highly premature' to conclude short term fluctuations in ovarian hormones influence acute exercise performance or even long term adaptations to resistance training. Women's rugby has one of six pillars of growth strategy, which is women's health and welfare.
