The best runners on the planet spent 80% of their time. in zone one if you like and then 20% when it's on, it's really on. Being a good runner is all about three things: running at the top, support your running, nutrition, hydration and also your sleep and recovery. One thing that the Ethiopians do incredibly well is their recovery because all of their, the full time athletes out there have not got very much to do. They're on the distractions that you get in everyday life. It was just an incredible lifestyle that I'm not saying that I'd nap twice a day now, but I learned a lot of lessons.
