The Power of Emotional Self-Regulation
Marketing and advertising is a way by which we can create value for the customers. I don't see marketing as pushing products onto people, but more means by which we get to create value by what we deliver to customers. When you think about why people struggle with saying no, it stems from two fundamental motives that human beings have. And so when we say yes, when we want to say no, it is usually because we care deeply about our relationships. We are really concerned about our reputation. Or we just don't have the language and we haven't trained ourselves to be able to say no.
