The Importance of Empathy in Art

i think it can be fruitful to think about experiences of all in terms of the public and private dimensions. It's a really smart thing to do if you're a young artist who wants to get money to support you in doing your work. You should say your work is about empathy, because that makes it sound like you're doing a kind of humanitarian work. i would not for a moment deny that art works can be de sometimes decent, sometimes very good, vehicles for engendering empathy between individuals.
