Bob Greene: There's always been a spirit of nostalgia, but we actually have data to show that this type of nostalgia might be correct. He says between the 1970s and the 1990s, the amount of club meetings that we went to per year was cut in half. Greene: The number of people who say they have no friends is only 3% of Americans in 2021. It was 12%. We do have numbers that show we're in a neighboring crisis.
