Tides of History

CHAPTER

Charles the Bold's Battle of Morrath

In 1476, Charles the Bolt's army was defeated at Grasln by a Swiss relief force. The Burgundians had no time to get more than a single volley of shots before they closed with shocking quickness. By December, Charles was besieging the small city of Nalsi, with a paper force of some 10,000 men. But next to the forces of the Swiss and their Lorraine or allies could gather just a couple of hundred miles from home,. They outnumbered Charles at least two, and probably more like three or even four to one.
