When somebody else is standing on the position of expert, they're almost dressing you down with their advice or their expertse. The minute i preface a question with what do you know about, particularly if i'm fairly confident that the knowledge base of the other person is slim to none, what i get back in the other direction is not a lot. We've earnt ourselves the right to be at a reposition ourselves an the differences we bring. And it's that ability to move the vantage point on somebody's point of view, and perhaps even change the lens on it, that allows them to change their mind.
