When you are experiencing a strong energy or strong emotion, use the one to three process. It doesn't matter if it's angry, rageful, jealous, sad, depressed, whatever it is, except how you feel. When i get sad, my heart space begins to close. I can actually feel it get tight. The third step is designed to help you think about the future. Those of us who struggle with anxiety and depression, we're so wrought with anxiety that now we're not thinking about thefuture.
