I Love Plyometrics and I Love Jumping Motions
Jumping is really important for power production and i do believe that translates to more powerful bike riding. We're not going to progress right into high box jumps or kettlebell swings or weighted jumps until we know that our body can support a jumping motion. If you are very new to weight training you can just start like jumping up on a box you will potentially hurt yourself so make you know in my program i try to build that in first. I think it's really important to to move our bodies diagonally and differently if you don't use it you will lose it.
