How to Make a Good Sudoku Puzzle
Zach: We had a really mistaken understanding of how Sudoku puzzles work. The puzzle needs to be able to support a wide variety of difficulty shockingly that's actually the secret most important thing. I think when we built this game, I went sort of what Jack was saying before when the idea sort of crystallized and I built some very simple puzzles for it those were interesting but they weren't nearly as interesting as the puzzles that Jack and I ended up building. And then I was just Jack spent months creating a generator and we spent a lot of time going back and forth between like what parts of hand built puzzles are goodHow do we teach the computer to know how to generate things like that
