manipulinks are these little pop ups that appear on e-commerce sites. They're basically trying to bully users into signing up for their newsletter. Some of the ones I've seen are really bad, they will not even make it clear that someone's signing up for a newsletter. And you're sort of bullying them into something they may or may not actually want or need.
