How Do You Find Emergent Leaders?

Many of the greatest innovators do not actually put their hands up and volunteer. Michelangelo apparently ran in the opposite direction when he was first asked to paint the Sistine Chapel. Martin Luther King Jr. had no plans to be the leader of the civil rights movement. These were folks who were drafted and then suddenly discovered that they could do amazing things.
