The Benefits of Narrating in a Conversation

In the textbooks, life is presented as black and white rather than nuances of gray that exists in real life. You have too many students and one teacher to have a really fruitful, productive conversation. So it can't work in a class of 30, especially when students haven't had enough time to read it. But I've really been enjoying the use of narration at the dinner table and a literary form of education because you get those benefits.
