With remote work in particular, it's hard to tell whether not that is voluntary, or if it's a o. If they tend to always be communicating through lunch or early in the morning or at night, that those are signs that this person could potentially be overworked and overloaded. A lot of people whom i work with tend to want to work during those times because they feel like they need to get it done. And so even if i encourage them to take care of themselves and choose different times, and ask them if they want me to help them with their work, they'll make a conscious choice like, no, i really want to get this done.
