The Role of Vitamin K in Warfarin Therapy

The most common that we see now are the ones that end in XABAN, things like the Pixaban or River Roxaban. Warfarin is a vitamin K based as opposed to the NAA, the direct 10A inhibitors. It impacts a number of the different factors, in particular the early impacts on protein C and S. The important thing to remember for warfarin is that it has a lot of drug interactions from things that either will pup regulate or down regulate its efficacy.
