The End of the Cold War
The Cold War didn't end with the world-blown to pieces in 1989 East Germans pulled down the Berlin Wall two years later the Soviet Union collapsed and then just like that The Cold War was over, but let's start at the beginning of the end detente. In today's episode we're looking at the end game for a brief period in the 1970s It looked as if the United States and the Soviet Union might put their differences aside in favor of cooperation in space and maybe other things too.
