When making a decision, you have to take into account the effect of that decision on the world. To often people ignore that and engage what i would call all else equal thinking. I think it's important for quantitatively orientad people to translate their insights into plain english. It is easy to make finance sound completely incomprehensible by using tongues of jargon and acronyms.
