Time reviewers globally worked on peer reviews was over 100 million hours in 2020 equivalent to 15,000 years of effort. Most of which would have been rejected. The estimated monetary value of the time us just us based researchers spent on reviews was 1.5 billion USD in just 2020 alone for China. For UK rates, close to 400 million USD. They didn't even put Australia or other countries in there. So they acknowledge that they've underestimated it. That's a fuck time.
