Is Soaking Chicken Livers in Milk a Good Idea?
A lot of the beef recipes i see say to either rinse the raw beef, soak the raw beef in water or blanch the beef prior to the primary cooking. It feels like i might just be washing off the flavor. There's a related question from derik shin, who writes, my korean mam and many other ajumas have told me to let my chicken marinate in some milk to get rid of the chicken smell. Is this a real thing, or just the thing? Karean moms do. I have never been able to tell of it's actually doing anything.
