How to Train for a Long Ultra

The first thing we lose is the speed. If you take off a lot of time, two weeks will already start to see your speed being lost. After that it takes much longer for the aerobic system to detrain. So I think it's important to be aware that you will start losing speed quite quickly. Ten days, two weeks is a point where you start to lose fitness. And then as we said, the different attributes of the body recover at a different rate.
