"Everybody is in sales. Do you have a girlfriend? Often, unfortunately, they didn't," he says. "I wouldn't say persuasion, but I know what you mean by it." A lot of quants disdain sales and don't really understand the concept, Cevallos says. He's always known that his career trajectory was going to be as a salesman.
