Monsanto, which I'm sure will be a familiar name, modified crops to make them resistant to diseases. But where it was going was that Monsanto did not want to be the bad guys. And so they came up with this very clever plan in order to get out of chemicals. They thought, okay, what if we get the gene from this BT as it's called bacterium and put it into a plant then the plant will produce its own organic natural insecticide. That has led to a reduction of about three quarters of a billion tons less of insecticide.
