The Importance of Listening to Yourself

The real trick to self care is being able to understand yourself well enough to know what type of care you need whether it's active or inactive. I think that where people get stuck is not trusting themselves or listening to themselves in truly hearing the messages about what they actually need. You know that reminds me too of something that I work on a lot with clients and session and it's when you when you have a history of either being invalidated when you've spoken about like maybe needing to rest or needing to engage in some form of self care. That then becomes our narrative and then we learn to invalidate ourselves so this is why therapy is so important too because we this is what we do all
