The Uterus Is Predatory
In ancient greece, a patriarchal society in which women really only had one role. Pregnancy and conception ware seen to be the healthiest and most ideal state for a woman's body to be in. The hipocratics believe that if it wasn't weighed down with child or moistened with male seed, could start creeping around a woman’s body in search of moisture. You really get the sense that the uterus is predatory in that sense when we come to diagnosis like the much fictionalized and talked about idea of the wandering womb.
