I think if you feel like someone is lying, that's a really tricky situation. I would rather than saying, I think you're lying, I would ask what happened. And then I would get a sense of whether the person has a reasonable explanation or doesn't. Would it be helpful to have a role play between the soliciting feedback conversation?
